The Western and Central Pacific Fisheries Commission (WCPFC) was established by the Convention for the Conservation and Management of Highly Migratory Fish Stocks in the Western and Central Pacific Ocean (WCPF Convention) which entered into force on 19 June 2004. 

The 21st Regular Session of the WCPF was held from 28 Nov 2024 to 3 Dec 2024 in
Suva, Fiji.

The Commission for the Conservation of Southern Bluefin Tuna (CCSBT)  is an intergovernmental organisation responsible for the management of southern bluefin tuna throughout its distribution. The role of the International Commission for the Conservation of Atlantic Tunas (ICCAT).

The  International Commission for the Conservation of Atlantic Tunas (ICCAT) oversees the conservation and management of a variety of Atlantic marine species, including tunas, swordfish, marlin and sharks, and adopts measures to minimize bycatch of turtles and seabirds associated with these fisheries. This responsibility is shared among ICCAT’s 52 members, including the United States. Tuna  RFMOs are intergovernmental organizations that carry out data collection, scientific monitoring and management of tuna and tuna-like resources.
